Sauvie Island Shenanigans

Yesterday my brother Devin, his fiancee Amber, my sister Erin and I decided to visit the enchanting Sauvie Island to kick off the beginning of October. October is one of my all time favorite months. The leaves are just starting to change, the air is getting crisper, pumpkin patches abound with their alluring charm…it is the best.

Sauvie Island is full of beautiful farms with delicious fall produce. One of the things I have to get while I’m there is a caramel apple. I don’t know what makes Sauvie Island caramel apples so delicious, but they are seriously magical.

The first photo is of the old Portland Gas & Coke Co. building, that is set to be demo’d soon. I’ve always loved this old building, so I had to get a photo before it’s gone. These other photos were taken at Collins Beach on Sauvie Island. Our mission was to find the “UFO” and our mission was accomplished. 🙂
