Mono Lake – Lee Vining, CA

DAY 2

After Bodie, we got back on the 395 to check out Mono Lake. According to Atlas Obscura, It is believed that Mono Lake was formed 760,000 years ago, making it one of the oldest lakes in North America.

After Mono Lake, our next destination was Tonopah, NV to stay at the Clown Motel. On the way there we saw this beautiful old homestead with the majestic Sierra Mountains gracing the skyline. Some prime real estate if you ask me.
