I have a slight obsession with Route 66, so while we were in Chicago I had to check out at least a couple of things along Route 66 since this is where you can either begin or end the road that takes you through eight states.
Lou Mitchell’s is a restaurant along Route 66. It definitely feels like a step back into time when you walk through the doors. The menu consists of lots of delicious fried comfort foods, and my coworker Celina and I decided to split an order of the fried pickle spears, fried chicken and mashed potatoes. It was pretty much heaven on a plate.
Our next stops took us to the impressive Union Station and the Willis Tower (aka the Sears Tower).
