This day has been a long time coming! Yesterday my brother Devin married his long-time sweetheart Amber. Amber has been a part of our family for just over seven years, so it was only a matter of time before she and Devin tied the knot. The love these two have for each other sparked in high school, but it would be a few years, and a few different roads traveled before they were reunited. Life has a funny way of working itself out, especially when things are just meant to be.
The wedding took place at my grandma’s, who lives in the beautiful foothills of Yamhill. Growing up, going to our grandparent’s place was like our Disneyland, and we have so many wonderful memories of visiting there. When we were younger, hours were spent out in the forest building forts, playing hide and seek games, coming up with booby-traps, exploring uncharted territory….our imaginations were allowed to run as wild as our surroundings, and we lived for it. Because of all this, it was the perfect setting for Devin and Amber’s special day. It was their canvas to create something beautiful, and that they did.
Those who know my family, know we know how to host a party. Devin and Amber’s wedding day was no exception as family members from near and far came together to create an absolutely gorgeous setting. I am so happy for these two as they start this next chapter in their life, and am forever grateful I got to be a part of their special day.
Congratulations Devin and Amber! Love you both to the moon and back.
