Day 7…

Devin and I spent a day and a half visiting friends in Utah. It was nice to take a short break from the road and catch up with some of my closest friends from college. After our brief highway hiatus, we hit the road again and headed toward Crane, Oregon and the relaxing small desert oasis of Crystal Crane Hot Springs.

On our way back to Oregon, we stopped at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Tooele County, Utah. I have stopped here a few times, but Devin had never been here, so I told him we had to check it out.

It feels like you are stepping onto another planet, as you walk out onto the trillions of tiny salt crystals that sparkle like diamonds. Part of the flats had water covering them, making for beautiful reflections of the sky and surrounding mountains.
