Nakalele Blowhole, Ohai Trail, Honolua Access Trail and Bay

On Friday, Devin, Erin and I set out to explore more of the north side of the island. We stopped to check out the Nakalele Blowhole, which spouts out impressive amounts of water!

We made another stop at Ohai Trail to check out a beautiful view point overlooking a bay.

Ohai Trail

I thought this was a really neat old coconut truck. When we pulled over to check it out, there were these really cute red-headed cardinals in the parking area.

There were so many neat little pull offs along the road to take in some breathtaking views.

Later in the day we met up with our friends Susie and Butch to explore the Honolua Bay Access Trail which was like walking through a jungle. It was absolutely gorgeous. We walked through a variety of trees with hanging vines and fruits. The trail leads to Honolua Bay where we saw surfers entering the bay. I got to try out my new 18-400 mm lens to capture some of the surfers in action!
