I am still working on catching up with my trip photos. After my conference in Chicago, I flew into Traverse City, Michigan to meet up with one of my very best friends. She is originally from Michigan, but moved to Oregon for a job at the university, which is how I met her. She has been wanting to show me her part of the world for some time now, so it was so fun to see where she grew up and all of her favorite places. We stayed at her aunts home in Traverse City, and these photos are from the afternoon I arrived. We went to the beautiful Grand Traverse Bay where my friend’s favorite lighthouse, the Mission Point Lighthouse stands. This was my first time to Michigan, and the beauty and diversity this state has to offer is absolutely lovely. Here are just a few shots of my first afternoon in Michigan.
